Just Hope Remembers “Just Bill”
October 22, 2015
We were saddened to learn of the recent passing of our good friend Bill Nance, ever an ardent supporter of Just Hope International. With every donation he made, he would include a note of encouragement that was as valuable to our stamina as the donation itself. He always signed the notes, “Just Bill.”
We mourn with Bill’s wife Pat, their family and friends in this sudden loss. Due to Bill’s love for the mission of Just Hope, Pat asked for donations to be made to Just Hope in lieu of flowers.
To honor Bill, the ambulance we are donating in Sierra Leone will be made in memory of him and his steadfast support. His name will be placed on the vehicle as a lasting reminder of his commitment to service. At his memorial service, Just Hope founder Karen Bruton said, “When I see that ambulance in Sierra Leone and someone comes up to me and asks ‘Who’s that?’, I will smile and reply ‘it’s just Bill.’ ”
