Heading to Sierra Leone in 24 hours!

February 12, 2010

Traveling in developing countries has given me a new appreciation for the luxury of having hope in my life. Hope implies a sense of expectation. In poverty stricken areas, often the expectation is the opposite of hope. Richard Boring and I will be traveling to Sierra Leone in West Africa this Saturday on a vision trip for our foundation. We will be looking for opportunities to offer hope to orphans living in some of the poorest conditions in the world. I will be sending regular updates during the trip, so please join us by reading our blogs and responding with your comments and questions. It is always good to hear from you when I am so far away from home. Maybe one day, a child in Sierra Leone can have the luxury of hoping for a brighter future.
